Default Word origins website?

Does anyone know of a good website where I can fine the origin of words?

Basically, I want to know which language if any the word originated from.

Thanks.

One good one is :http://www.etymonline.com/
or try typing etymology into Google.

http://www.etymonline.com/ is the best one I've found, but I've long been looking for something more comprehensive.

Some of the dictionaries give short notes on word origins.

I use the Oxford English Dictionary. If anything, there's too much information, but it's nice to see how a word has evolved over the ages.

I haven't heard of etymonline, but it sounds good.

Here's a fun and/or interesting site. It has nothing to do with word origins, but rather word frequency.

Thanks for the resources.

I don't need the information that often but sometimes people ask me if a word was originally from another language or have questions about pronounciation, so it's good to have a couple places to go.

Yeah, very nice.

I see that love comes between economic and means :-)

Any other nice 'sandwiches' you can find?
