really annoyed. I don't think exams are a fair reflection of ones ability - maybe I wasn't clear in my previous post.
I work in Italy, and here the student is expected to regurgitate facts and ideas...

I don't think so.
A student who understands how the exam is structured and what the examiner is looking for will almost always score better than a student of a reasonably higher level without the...
