I'm glad I escaped at 18 when I went off to a city for university. But now that I'm homesick, I can endure the hickness during summer vacation and revel in picking berries and buying fresh corn on the side of the road, etc. etc.
At least no one in my family has or ever had a mullet!
(No offence to anyone who currently sports one. I suspect there might be still some walking around in Quebec.)
