Re: ESL Teacher Talk - An ESL Podcast The idea of listing topics for discussion is great and I look forward to it. Sharing our experiences is a resource that beats any ESL text book in the world. I can't wait to read what you guys go through in those other cities. My case is a rare one: I feel like I am working at a cultural crossroads! I teach at a Korean International School located in Beijing. I am African and my colleagues are American, Canadian, British, Chinese and Korean. I tell you guys, it's something....it's the whole world in one office when we chat at break time.... when you hear comments like these: "We don't say that in the states..." "it's common to hear that in the UK." "In Korean the meaning is very different, that's why they say that in class.." "Well in Africa it has a negative meaning." etc etc.
Cheers!
