My cousin, too. She was the only person in town with a purple mohawk in the early 80s (and possibly since) and consequently developped a really quick reflex with the instinctive defense mechanism...

Compliments to you for surviving!
Hope she's doing well. It was a pretty rought time. Did she ever move to Toronto and slum it? Or is she a yuppie now?

Yes, Toronto was the closest escape. She moved there very early and has lived there since, 15+ years later and still ever so goth.

I guess she was into that Queen street scene. Well the yuppies have taken that all over and the prices have gone up. She might know of BFG a bunch of ******* goofs. They're a punk band who live in Kensington market.

I would have guessed you were living down south in Busan or that area.

When I first came to Korea it was Pusan not Busan. I wonder when it will be spelt Gorea.

Well, Korea is the English word that came from Goryeo which is an old kingdom.

Quote http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goryeo
The Goryeo kingdom ruled Korea from the fall of Silla in 935 until the founding of Joseon in 1392. The name "Goryeo" is a shortened form of "Goguryeo," the name of a kingdom in northern Korea which was conquered by Silla in 668. The English name "Korea" comes from "Goryeo."
So techinically they do use "G".

Some Koreans refer to Korea as Chosan. They call themselves Hankooks.
