TINA is on a distinguished road
Default Hi! from Japan

Hi! I'm Tina,I'm 37 and I 've been living in Japan for more than half of my life.

I teach English to pre-schoolers and children in the elementary. Teaching and trying to make the children understand what I'm teaching them, is not an easy task. And, sometimes I feel at my wits end thinking of ways to make my teaching better and more fun.Your site is just plain WONDERFUL! Its filled with lots of ideas and fun.I can't wait to share what I've learnd from this site to my students. I'm looking forward to learning more, and in the process , have some fun myself.

Hi Tina,

Nice to have you on the site.

I'd love to hear about what it's like teaching in Japan. I've visited Fukuoka only (twice, on visa runs) and really loved the quietness of the city. I've spent so much time learning Korean though (been here 5years teaching and am finishing up one semester of full-time study), I think it's unlikely that I'll pick up and move to another country...

Anyway, I'd also enjoy reading some of the things you do in your classfuls of little ones. I taught Korean 5year-olds (Western age 3-4) for one year and loved it, though I came home crying quite often out of sheer frustration.

Looking forward to future posts

Karen

Hello Tina!
I am from Turkey and I am 38. It would be great to learn how you cope with these little monsters.Though I teach upper secondaries, I always thought it would be interesting to teach pre schoolers and elementary levels. I will be happy to hear from you. I am quite new to the site. Hope to be in touch, bye
