Wink A hug from Brazil!

Hi, guys!

I´m Aila, from Brazil.
I live in Fortaleza, a beautiful, warm and sunny city, where I´ve been teaching at two public high schools for almost 1.000 pupils (can you believe that?).
I´m always looking for activities for large classes and find out this site was really great!

Cheers!

Hi Aila!

It must be very difficult to teach English or any other language to large classes. You´re terrific!!!!
My name´s Carmen and I live in Rio de Janeiro. Nowadays I only work at a private school. I just have 30 students in each class....and I think it´s too much!!!
I love warming-up my groups with "Five-Minute Activities". It´s a resource book of short activities.( Cambridge U.P.)
I think you´ll like it....
Hugs....

Hi Carmen and Aila,

It's great to have both of you onboard - Brazil is an amazing country and I'm sure you are doing an excellent job teaching English to young people. Your classes do seem very large. What you might want to do is split the group into small teams and give each an assignment - have them create small presentations on various topics, etc.
How many hours do you have to teach per week?
Regards
Torsten

Hi!
I have three classes a week with each group: Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate.
I´m thinking about a Project to do with them....maybe a film...
Hugs and thanks!
Carmen
