Re: introducing a topic I sometimes like to introduce new language/concepts in abstract ways, so that the student will have to listen to understand what I was talking about 5 minutes ago. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You could try to elicit what foods they already know/would eat at breakfast?
