Yes, they weren't happy when I told them to stop using 'whom' because they sounded ridiculous. Apparently their previous teacher would not agree.

I was showing a DVD and it stopped working about five minutes before the end, and I couldn't get it working again.

Heh, heh. I once had a teacher who would 'mess the air' all the time. And he would stamp his feet while doing it to try to hide the sound.

Here in Malaysia, farting in public is a really strict...

I actually saw a French movie at the weekend that was mostly in English (shock!)

Wow, that's an interesting question and a good point.

Interesting, too that there is a trend in text messages and forums to use a small letter for I. Some psycholinguistical socio-whatnot going on...

Grammar is not always the most interesting topic in the world. In class we try to make it interesting by tying it in to the other skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening.
