        Re: exercises pre-intermediate level       I can’t think of a game. Perhaps you can take Murphy’s law “if sth bad can happen, it will happen” begginings and make them guess the end. e.g. If you wash your car,  it’ll rain; if you look for sth you’ve lost,  you’ll find it in the last place you look; if you  get to the station and a train is just leaving,  it’ll be your train;  if you find sth in a shop that you really like,  they won’t have it in your size; etc.  
You can also encourage them to create a pessimistic story from for example, if I wear sth white, I’ll spill coffee on it; if I spill coffee on it, my mother will get angry; if my mother gets angry, she won’t let me go out; if I don’t go out, I won’t meet my friends; if I don’t meet my friends, I won’t have fun…          |
