Using ice breakers after slower periods of the lesson (like reading) is also good to get the students talking again i think.

England, Canada, Aus, US etc all have slight differences in how they use English and sts usually take after their teachers and how they speak. I have come across many classes that were taught...

I used the "Let's Go" series and had no real problems with them.... apart from the fact that they are American (for spelling and what not). I did find them a little slow, but it's always easy to find...

I pretend that I can't hear what they are saying. They usually get the message and read louder. One class i taught was a bunch of 11-12 year...
