Re: difficult child

I know this is old-fashioned, and I may be completely vilified for suggesting it, but has anyone considered punishment?
You've mentioned that the parents have a good behaviour chart to reward him...

Re: My 3 year old student had a nervous break down! :(

I think you need to be careful with phrases like "nervous breakdown". I hope you didn't use it with the mother to describe the situation.

It's not all that odd for a child to have a temper tantrum...

Re: Can anyone help please?

Is South Korea your only target? It might be worth considering other countries in Asia. I've been working in Indonesia for 7 years and love it. I just signed on for another 2. I can tell you that...

Re: Starting ESL Teaching Job Mid-Year- SOS!!!

Hi:

I'm a DoS in a language centre in Indonesia, and we do quite a lot of work with local schools. I've dealt with school classes a lot over the past few years.

The fact that they don't have a...

Re: 3 year olds!

Another quick and easy flashcard game for little ones is "Four Walls". Take four flashcards with your target vocabulary and stick one to each wall of the classroom. Have the kids stand in the centre...

Re: How much to teach a 3 year old

We've been teaching small groups of 3 year old for a couple of years now in BSD, Tangerang, Indonesia. We use a mixture of foreign and local teachers, but still manage to do everything without using...

Re: Degree Requirements

Indonesia may be another option. Immigration authorities here have been talking about restricting the esl market to degree holders only for some time now, but many non-degree holders still seem to be...
