Ah, yes. My students seem to have seen most of the vocabulary in most of the speaking books already. It's refreshing for them to see words outside the norm.

Yeah. After being here almost 5 years, it still bothers me. I completely understand it is part of the culture, but it's hard (at least for me) to put my best foot forward when given 12 hours...

I really don't like that fact that in South Korea, everything is done last minute. Getting books, schedules, whatever you can think of is done last minute. It really ruffles my feathers...

I agree. I just don't understand some of these people that are vehemently against tangible rewards. Shoot, life is one big quid pro quo. I don't care how you slice it, it is.

You know, for students doing well on an exam? I have read a lot of research against it. I know. But, from time to time, I feel as though it doesn't hurt as long as the students don't begin to expect...
