Thanks Karen.
This article is what initially fired my interest in Bhutan: http://observer.guardian.co.uk/trave...117961,00.html
I'd love to go - I'm always dreaming of the perfect place. Maybe one day.........

1. If you could teach ESL anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Osaka, Japan, teaching general business English while learning the language and working my way up a corporate ladder and planning my eventual break-away into my own business.

2. What's your favorite drink between classes?
Coffee or Fruit Beer (non-alcoholic)

3. Funniest/Worst ESL classroom moment?
There have been so many but here's a couple:
1. A rather heafty kid winding up and punching me in the groin so that I doubled over and was sputtering unable to stand up for a while.
2. Having a good portion of the little boys in my class playing with their penis's at random.
3. Drawing random letters on the white board and accidentally spelling a rather vulgar word.

4. How do you usually spend your day(s) off?
I don't get days off. When I do I spend them researching on the internet and doing more work.

5. If Hollywood were making a movie about you, who would play you?
It would be great if someone like Brad Pitt played me but knowing my luck it would probably be someone like Jason Biggs.

1. If you could teach ESL anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Germany. I went to HS and university there...I miss it so. But I wouldn't want to teach English anymore...this is my last year, I'd say.

2. What's your favorite drink between classes?
Don't have time.

3. Worst ESL classroom moment?

Catching one of the students behind the gym, smoking.
I chastized hime...but forgot to confiscate the cigs. DOH!

4. How do you usually spend your day(s) off?
Watching TV and pretending to clean and do laundry.

5. If Hollywood were making a movie about you, who would play you?

Reese Witherspoon or Renee Zellweger.

1. If you could teach ESL anywhere in the world, where would it be? hhhmmm I'm not sure but it would have to be somewhere with COOL weather!! I hate hot and humid and most of Japan is hot and humid!

2. What's your favorite drink between classes?
I usually drink water or tea at JR High.

3. Funniest/Worst ESL classroom moment?
Cute and funny - In Japan there are trucks that go around selling food with their speakers annoucing what they are selling. I was teaching my student the phrase "I like..." and he heard the truck annoucing "gyoza". So he decided to Sing... "I like ... gggyyyyoooooozzzaaaaaa"

4. How do you usually spend your day(s) off?
I usually stay at home, watching movies, reading books or working on new games for my students and do laundry and clean *ugh*

5. If Hollywood were making a movie about you, who would play you? I wouldn't have a clue, but it would be nice to have Sandra Bullock play me

1. If you could teach ESL anywhere in the world, where would it be? I'd like to try Italy, but thats more for the lifestyle and food & drink I could have. I'd also have to say Australia, as I'm trying to get my work visa!

2. What's your favorite drink between classes?
At my school I got addicted to the 100won coffee from the automatic machine.

3. Funniest/Worst ESL classroom moment?
In my 6 year olds class I had a very smart boy, who was also a bit cheeky and not afraid of English.
We had reached the short i sounds in their phonics books and I was trying to get them to identify some of the pictures when we got to "wig". Not being an everyday word for them they were stuck for an answer until this boy piped up with "supermarket hair".
I have to admit I cant think of a better description for a wig, this cracked me up for ages and it really made me appreciate thinking round a problem - he didn't know the word so he used the English he did know to explain the meaning to me.

4. How do you usually spend your day(s) off? I love photography so I like to take advantage of being in a different culture to photograph as much as possible. Otherwise I can spend all day on the internet or at the movies....

5. If Hollywood were making a movie about you, who would play you? I'm always being told I look like Miranda from Sex and the City, but I'd love someone sassy like Scarlet Johannson to play me...!

Where would you like to teach- If money wasn't a big deal I would teach in Thailand.

My favorite drink- Red Fanta not available in Korea. They should provide with a free insulin shot it is soooooo sweet.

Worst EFL Moment- My pants split. I was reminded I need to lose my weight for the rest of the month.

How I spend my days off- I like going to those makshift Garbage bucket places and having Sam Gyup Sal and Poke tang ju.

I think Shallow Hal would be playing me.

1. If you could teach ESL anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Im still loving Japan and i dont have any desire to move, but a good job in Brazil would be pretty darn interesting

2. What's your favorite drink between classes?

Its summer in Japan, so water. Anything else is going to leave you dehydrated after sweating it out with 30-40 smelly adolescents for 50 minutes.... can anyone explain why Japanese classrooms dont have airconditioning?

3. Funniest/Worst ESL classroom moment?

Probably back in the day when i taught for a private esl company (ugh) and i was doing an ordering in a cafe lesson with 3 young girls. No problem or so you would think. One of them decided they wanted a COKE.... which in Japanese is pronounced like C*CK. So im trying not to laugh as a very sweet and innocent 15yo Japanese school girl asks `Id like a c*ck please`, when the other student, an equally sweet and innocent schoolgirl pipes up with `would you like a big or a small one`

It took every fibre of my being not to laugh at that one. There was no way i was going to explain it to them...

4. How do you usually spend your day(s) off?

On saturday morning i clean, as some sort of pennance for the night before, then i go and hang out with mates, and try and do something interesting.

5. If Hollywood were making a movie about you, who would play you?

If hollywood made a movie about me, i would be questioning why such a boring script got approved for production. However if somebody had to do it then it would probably be Jason Biggs.
