Re: Are examinations a true test of knowledge?

Having pretty extensive experience in this field, I would put the most emphasis on speaking/oral exams. Any experienced oral examiner can tell in 5 minutes where the candidate lies in the scheme of...

Re: Pills and Potions

Did they say to find the correct answer or to find the best answer?

Pills and potions sounds like a common collocation. You don't 'use' exercise or 'injections', but tablets sounds fine to me.

Re: CV

Hi,

1 Your name should be at the top instead of 'Curriculum Vitae'
2 Lose the Times New Roman font and try Arial instead
3 Align the sections so that the overall effect is clean
4 Do you really want...

Re: Your ESL skills

OK, got it.

In my case, I definitely feel like I've learned a lot and know a lot. I did my first teaching gig in Romania before I got my Tefl cert, and I cringe when I think about those classes! But...

Re: Is non-biased ESL possible?

I don't think it's very likely or possible within the near future - maybe 50 years from now when the world is more integrated.

People tried to do something like this with Esperanto, an artificially...
