Hi and welcome to the forum.
Have you talked to the parents? If a child seems overwhelmed by an unfamiliar environment, then maybe there are deeper problems that need to be solved BEFORE he/she can start learning another language. Make sure the parents are aware of that and if nothing changes, drop that "customer"
